Our commercial staircase range is ideal for any showroom, shop or office.

Our standard commercial range comprises of four different sizes in diameter and is suitable for almost all commercial applications. They make the best use of space available and larger stairs, more suitable for public and high traffic use, are available as part of our public range.

Each Albion Design staircase can be fully customised with a wide range of handrail, balustrading and tread options to suit all uses and complement any colour scheme.

We have also created many unique commissions for centrepiece stairwells using a range of materials such as glass, stainless steel and wood. More information on our previous designs is available on the commissions page.

All materials meet full structural standards with appropriate grades of steel and timber used to match the diameter and height of each stair installation. All stairs are available rising clockwise or anti-clockwise and are suitable for multi-storey applications.

Model A1400

Measuring only 1414mm in diameter this is the smallest stair allowed under Building Regulations giving access to "a small room or plant in an office, shop or factory not used by the public".

Model A1500

Slightly larger that the A1400, measuring 1520mm in diameter the Model A1500 provides a more comfortable stair where space permits.

Model B1800

The Model B1800, which at 1820mm in diameter has a clear tread width of 800mm. With just an outer handrail, and Building Control relaxation it can be used in areas where it is impractical to fit the larger Model C2100 stair.

Model C2100

Defined as a small semi public stair, the Model C2100 is a multi purpose staircase for everyday use by up to 50 people in a commercial, public or domestic setting. It has an 800mm clear tread width and has both inner and outer handrails.

The Model C2100 is often used as a common stair serving more than one dwelling, and tread rises of up to 220mm are permitted giving designers additional flexibility and avoiding any issues with headroom.

All fire escapes can have various baluster options provided to ensure compliance with the maximum gap allowed by building regulations of 100mm where children under 5 may use the stair.
