Our domestic staircase range is ideal for new build projects, extensions or interior redesigns.

Our staircases (unlike many other self build kits available) fully comply with the current Building Regulations under British Standard 5395: Part 2. Their high quality manufacturing processes producing top quality components are combined with remarkable value for money.

The balustrade and tread risers on all of our domestic range of staircases comply with the '100mm maximum gap rule' for the protection of young children.

The range comprises of three different diameters complying with the current Building Regulation requirements. They are available in a 'ready to build' kit form to suit any house with floor to floor heights of between 2160mm and 2640mm and the kit can be easily expanded to fit any height required.

Each Albion Design staircase can be fully customised with different handrail, balustrading and tread options to enhance any room decoration or to create the focal point for a completely new look.

It is also possible to produce individual commissions for that unique finish. Bespoke staircases have been manufactured using a range of materials including glass, stainless steel and wood. More information is available on our commissions page.

Model A1400

Measuring only 1414mm in diameter with a 600mm clear tread width, this is the smallest stair allowed under Building Regulations giving access to "a single habitable room (not being a living room or kitchen)". Particularly suitable for loft conversions where the accommodation consists of a bedroom or bedroom and en suite, the Model A1400 is the ultimate in space saving.

Model A1500

Slightly larger than the A1400, measuring 1520mm in diameter with a 650mm clear tread width, the Model A1500 provides a more comfortable stair where space permits.

Model B1800

The largest of our dedicated domestic range, the Model B1800 is suitable as the main stair in any house. At 1820mm in diameter with an 800mm clear tread width, Building Regulations permit this stair to be used to give access to a living room, or to any number of bedrooms.

Optional Model N1200

Where Building Regulations can be relaxed, the Model N1200 at 1210mm in diameter with a 500mm clear tread width, offers the smallest footprint possible whilst still being large enough to use where space is limited. The Model N1200 is constructed using the same exacting methods as our standard range.

All stairs are available rising clockwise or anti-clockwise.
