Spiral stairs designed for general public use, our Public Spiral Staircase Range extend to up to 3 metres in diameter.

Ideally suited to everyday high volume use, our public range are constructed from high quality steel with a range of tread, handrail and balustrade options for either indoor or outdoor use and can be finished in virtually any colour.

All of our staircases have been exhaustively tested by independent Consulting Engineers in accordance with British Standard guidelines and fully comply with BS 5950 structural requirements.

We are able to supply to any location in the world complete with all required components and full instructions, or our installation team is available to attend nearly all sites in the UK to undertake construction if required.

Model C2100

Defined as a small semi public stair, the Model C2100 with an 800mm clear tread between the inner and outer handrails, is a multi purpose staircase for everyday use by up to 50 people in a commercial, public or domestic setting. The C2100 is often used as a common stair serving more than one dwelling, and tread rises of up to 220 mm are permitted giving designers additional flexibility and avoiding any issues with headroom.

Model D2300

Also defined as a semi public stair, but for use by larger numbers of people (more than 50) in an industrial, commercial or public setting, the Model D2300, with a 900mm clear tread width between the inner and outer handrails, is also suitable as a larger fire escape.

Model E2500/E3000

The largest public stair manufactured by Albion Design, the Model E2500 with a 1000mm clear tread width between the inner and outer handrails, and the Model E3000 with a 1200mm clear tread width between the inner and outer handrails are intended to be used by large numbers of people at the same time.

Designed to cater for the largest applications, these stairs can serve as a grand feature staircase in any building where large assemblies are expected, or are suitable for use as a large capacity fire escape.

All stairs are available rising clockwise or anti-clockwise.

All fire escapes can have various baluster options provided to ensure compliance with the maximum gap allowed by building regulations of 100mm where children under 5 may use the stair.
